TechBuzz 2011

TechBuzz 2011 was organized by Club Technophilia on April 08, 2011. The main organizers behind this event was from IT/CSE 6th Semester Students and Staff.

In TechBuzz 2011 there was Web-Designing Competition, Debate Comptetition, C / C++ Programming Competition, Com-e-t Network and OS Troubleshooting Competition and Photomania Competition organized by students and judged by staff and HOD's. Event was held in Conference Hall of CT Institute of Technolgoy. Event started around 10.00 A.M. in the conference hall. Web-Designing and Com-e-t competition was started at 09:45 A.M. in parallel as there was no clash among the students. Finalist for the competitions were selected based on preliminary exams held on March 06, 2011. After welcome speech, an Saraswati Dance and Lightning ritual was performed. After that Photo Mania contestants were given theme and time to submit there photos. After that Debate Competition was started was started. There were in total of 9 groups for debate competitions.

Programming Competition was started at 11:30 A.M. in CL-3 Lab, while Debate Competition was going on in Conference Hall. Debate Competition was finished around 12:30 P.M. After that an break upto 1.30 P.M. was announced. In between the Debate Competition we were having some guitar performaces and questions for audience and chocolates as reward. During break time resultes were compiled. After break we had special expert lecture by Ms. Anchal from Sin-o-sure Company on Motivation. The expert lecture was really awesome and helpful for students. After expert lecture we have special guitar performance by students and suprise performance by Mr. Gurpreet Sir. Gurpreet Sir played Titanic music on Flute and Gulabi Aanken on Guitar. After that HOD Sir and Vice-Principle Sir award Ms. Anchal with Guest of Honor trophy. After then we have our prize distribution ceremony. That was the last event of TechBuzz 2011, then students were sent back to their respective classes.

TechBuzz 2011 all over was good success. TechBuzz 2011 was the first event organized by IT 6th Semester Students. Students those were part of organization learned a lot during the complete event starting the planning till the end of event. Credit for Success of this events goes to all the team members who really worked hard for its success. The Organizers (Sakun, Ajay, Akash, Aman, Harish and Vivek), Staff Members (Monica Mam, Amanpreet Mam, Khushal Sir, Mohit Sir, Amardeep Sir and many more), Co-ordinators (Parminder, Rupinder, Himanshu, Sourav and many more) and whole Dicipline Team.

CT 4th Half Marathon

The 4th CT Half Marathon organized by CT Group of Institutions reached its destination successfully amidst a wave of euphoria. Thousands thronged in this race for charity. The Marathon was a mixed flavor of Nationalism and Internationalism as the leading Pakistani Band joined hands with the sensational Harbhajan Mann, ‘Dancing Machine’ Diljit Dosanjh, the gorgeous Pooja Tandon, Comedians Bhotu Shah and Kake Shah , the beautiful Miss World Punjaban Japji Khaira & Gaurav Kakkar to make this mammoth event a huge success.

This race for charity was inaugurated by the Legendary Punjabi Singer and Actor Harbhajan Mann, famous Punjabi Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh, Pooja Tandon, Japji Khaira, Gaurav Kakkar along with S.Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions, co-chairperson Mrs.Parminder Kaur, Mr.Manbir Singh, Managing Director, Mrs.Tanika Channi, Mr.Harpreet Singh, Director, Administration from CT fraternity, by flagging off the race in CT Shahpur Campus at 6.30 A.M.

The objective of this race was to raise funds for the organizations that work for the deprived members of society such as Pingalwara, Red Cross, Apahaj Ashram and other non government organizations. The event was enthused with emotional haze as Harbhajan Mann and Diljit Dosanjh with their songs motivated and urged runners to participate in this race with full enthusiasm. The whole atmosphere resonated with exuberance and vibrance of Punjab and Punjabiat.The marathon got attention of renowned industrialists, politicians, professionals, Doctors, Engineers, Employees of private and government organization and all the sections of the society.

S. Charanjit Singh Channi. Chairman, CT Group of Institutions congratulated the prize winners and thanked all present. He said that an event of such magnitude could only be possible by the whole hearted cooperation of Politicians, industrialists, media, corporate Houses, NGO’s, staff and the students who had all contributed in their own way to make this event a success.

Mr.Harpreet Singh, Director, Administration said that CT Group of Institutions would continue the saga of inclusion and philanthropy in times to come…
